Methods in Molecular Biophysics

The course of lectures is devoted to the key experimental methods of physical research used in biophysics. In particular, the methods of X-ray crystallography, NMR, vibrational spectroscopy (IR and Raman), adsorption spectroscopy and others will be discussed in detail. The course of lectures by Prof. V.M. Maleev, which was developed and read at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (monograph: V.Ya. Maleev. Methods of biophysical research. Kharkiv: Izd-vo. KhNU named after V.N. 1. Methods of determining the mass, shape and dimensions of biomolecules.
2. Methods of determining the structure of biomolecules in solid samples.
3. Methods of studying the conformational mobility and electronic structure of biopolymers.
Система оцінювання

The final mark is formed by combining the marks for the assignments (40 points max) and the exam (60 points max).
